Despite the heavy rain, more than 250 UCLA students and student workers showed up, marched, and chanted at the #J20 march at UCLA. Along with other civil rights and student organizations, BASH protested the presence of serial sexual harassers in positions of power that get full protection by institutions. Some protesters, including [UAW2865 member] Trautenberg, also linked Trump’s inauguration to the controversy around professor Gabriel Piterberg. Students have criticized UCLA’s decision to allow Piterberg to teach despite being accused of sexual harassment and assault.
