Sexual harassment and assault are urgent issues at UCLA.
Offenders often enjoy greater protection than survivors of assault. Many survivors feel they cannot speak out for fear of retaliation; often, their ability to finish their degree or perform their job is severely compromised.
BASH, a group of UCLA students, seeks to curtail the culture of silence around campus sexual assaults and to promote a safe and empowering work and study environment for all members of the campus community – students, staff and faculty. As sexual crimes are about power, and not sex, the best way to combat them is to create a more democratic and transparent campus environment. See our platform for BASH’s demands and goals.
